During The thriving times of Sur’s maritime activity, hundreds
of Omani ships were reaching the edge of the world, and during
the monsoon season majority of the ships used to return to
Sur to prepare for the next sail.
According to scholars and explorers during some years the
number reached over 300 ships moored at Khour Al-batah simultaneously
in a chilling scene.
